Oh my gosh what a delight!!!!

Noelle: I figured it out! How to submit to the blog. Congratulate me, I'm entering the 21st Century. The beach looks just like Nantucket sans the black mud, of course. If whaling was a historical profession, what do current islanders do for work? You spoke of your host working as a pharmacist. Does his wife work? Are there schools on the island. Are they totally self-sufficient. Given how tired you have sounded was the trip to the island by intent so all of you could relax a little bit?

As you indicated in your most recent blog I am really interested to learn about what your colleagues learned in their vocational days. The theatre information was GREAT but I'm sure how Germany does business in other fields would be equally compelling. For example, does Germany even have a block of commercial real estate properties? If they do are the prices comparable to own your own commercial building? How about those that are self-employed. Can you have an office in your home in Germany, like a Doctor or a real estate agent?

How different are the stores in terms of what your colleague learned? Even there, do stores own their own buildings? I think of Germany as having goverment control of a lot of their infrastructure, but perhaps that is not so.

Well, I will sign off now, as I am pleased with myself that I figured this out. What was missing what that original link to your invitation to blog, which I had not activated. Anyway, we LOVE YOU and we MISS YOU LOTS. Keep the blogs coming. They are fascinating to learn. I am going to send out this link to the entire family that I have emails for. It would be interesting for Serena and Haley, and Cindy's kids to follow along. All of our love, till next time. Mom
